Pay As You Go Mobile Phone Deals

By: Betty Liondike

Pay-as-you-go mobile phone deals are thought to be a very popular deal amongst the cell phone users. Mobile phones are considered as the most inventive gadgets of this era as it has bridged up the communication gaps to a great extent.

The cell phone market keeps on receiving new versions of hand sets on a regular basis by cell phone manufacturing companies like Nokia, Motorola, Samsung etc., but a recent development has been in the field of marketing these hand sets.

With the coming of tough competition in the field of communication, almost all the eminent brands have started offering numerous deals, cash back offers, free gifts and many more in order to attract the individuals. The pay as go mobile phone deals are huge popular throughout UK. Some of the benefits of such mobile phones include prepaid cards, coupons, that can be found in every street of UK. These coupons are effective ways to enhance the services of their gadgets.

Like all the other deals, Pay-as-you-go mobile phone deals have been devised by the network service provider companies. These companies design these deals so that the buyers can buy mobile phones being offered with cost effective lucrative rates for different network services. In this manner, a mobile phone buyer can choose a hand set first and then the service provider of his or her own choice that looks more attractive and economic.

Contract deals are the type of cell phone deals where the buyer has to enter in some sort of a contract for a specific period of time in which he or she is supposed to pay a certain amount as mobile phone billing and would not be allowed to join any other network for that phase of time.

Once you have your prepaid, or pay as you go, cell phone you must keep it loaded with minutes. Depending on your carrier, you can call and "top off" your phone with a credit or debit card, go to the store and buy a card to refill your minutes. They usually come in $15, $25, and $50 increments and up.

In pay as you go deal, when you buy a cell phone, it gets to be loaded with some amount already. In this type of deal, you need to use vouchers and scratch cards so that the credit will be transferred to your cell phone account because in this type of deal, a call can not be made until and unless there is sufficient amount for it.

With economic times being what they are right now; pay as you go cell phone deals are becoming much more affordable and convenient. A few even offer unlimited calling, internet, push-to-talk service, and text messages, along with many other features for a very low price per month.

So it IS possible to get a very affordable pay as you go deal, you just have to do your research. A thorough search of cell phone providers for your area and the deals that they offer should reveal what the best deal for you is. There are many sites on the internet that offer multiple carriers and make it very easy to compare pay as you go plans. Your search could be over within the hour.

Save money using pre-paid mobile phone services.

Lately my daughter has been asking about getting a mobile phone family plan. We have been using pre-paid mobile service for the past 6 years and before my two children became teens and started to show interest (and the need to an extent) on having their own mobile phone between my wife and I were spending up to $200.00 a year on pre-paid mobile phone service. As soon both my children started attending High School we purchased mobile phones for each of them, at that point our annual pre-paid mobile bill went up to about $600.00.
We normally purchase $25.00 cards every time someone is running out of minutes, this is great because it gives us a great deal of control on what we spend and on the amount of time we spend on the phone. I don’t see the need to while driving; shifting gears with one hand, shoving a burger on my face with the other hand and with my “other” hand talk on the phone. All this does is to give our legislators more excuses to create more laws to protect us from ourselves when all we really need is common sense and control.

Going back to my daughter asking for a family plan I decided to investigate all the locally available plans and at the end the bottom line is that they are all pretty much the same; for a family of 4 the monthly fees are in between $90.00 and $120.00.  Well I did the math and the annual expense would be between $1,080.00 and $1,440.00 and this does NOT include all the other fees and taxes tacked to the monthly bills, plus the cost associated with the required 2 year commitment. I was burned by these 2 years commitments deals when I moved from California and discovered that the mobile provider I was using in California did not offer services in Idaho at the time and I had to cancel the contract at an out pocket expense of $300.00. They got me once; there won’t be a second time.
All these plans want you to make a 2 year commitment and they lure into these commitments with fancy devices “almost free” and we all should know by now; there is no such thing as a free lunch, you are better off buying your own phones online. Also you are not limited by the selection of devices offered by the many carriers that provide pre-paid services, the service that I use is T-Mobile and any mobile phone that uses a SIM card and GSM network should work fine.

My kids both have learned to manage their texting and chatting time on the phone and they know that if they go over their minutes allowance they will have pay for the next cards themselves. Of course they still keep asking for a family plan that includes more air time and texting.

Bottom line you can save a good deal of money by using pre-paid mobile services and still be connected. Besides saving money I see many other benefits such as becoming safer drivers; I don’t need to spend every single minute of my life on the phone, I don’t need to carry my phone every where I go and my teens don’t need to spend hours time texting or chatting with their friends.
As far as I am concerned mobile phone are just another tool to simplify our lives and not objects of enslavement that take over our valuable time and drain our financial resources.

Use Twitter as one of your job search weapons.

Twitter is the next great thing out there and now days you can not listen to the radio, watch TV or surf the Web without having someone mention Twitter. Personally I thought that Twitter was a new worthless trend, but recently I discovered a new tool that was created by the same team that developed Twitter that made me give Twitter a second look.

Various Wikihow articles about food storage.

I found the following website that has content created by members, this site is very similar to Wikipedia and allows members to add and edit content created by others.
The two articles that I found interesting and relevant to the theme of this website are:

How to repackage Bulk ground beef.

How to make a rotating food storage shelf.

Not sure if that Website you want to visit is safe?

You have heard about a great website or got an email from a friend with a link to a website that you find interesting and you would like to visit, but you are not sure if that website is safe to visit. Nowadays you can’t be too careful about the websites you visit; the risks are greater every day, the bad guys are pretty smart and want access to your information, one of the ways they do this is installing malware in your PC when visiting certain websites that host their code.

Print your own coupons.

As you can see on left side menu there is something new. I have decided to add a service to the website for our visitors that allows them to selectively print their own coupons. This is a free service that allows you to print your own coupons before going to the store.
Here is how it works:

First you will need to install special coupon printer driver software. This is a safe piece of software that will not ask you for personal information. To the best of my knowledge this software does not contain spyware, trackware or adware.

Caller ID numbers that you don't recognize?

During the last few days we have been receiving "ghost" phone calls at home where the caller hangs or from numbers that we don't recognize in our caller ID.
If you have been noticing these calls lately these could be coming from scammers, aggressive bill collectors, telemarketers, dubious charities, phone survey company, old girlfriends, etc.

Want to save some money on electronics entertainment? Give Hulu a try.

Recently I discovered www.Hulu.com through some TV advertisements and decided to give it a try and I was very impressed.

www.Hulu.com is a website service backed by NBC Universal and News Corp. They have over 900 current Primetime TV hits on the site. All these shows can be watched for free. You are still force to watch commercials, but significantly less than regular television, cable and satellite service. They also offer new shows at the same time they air on regular TV, so you don’t have to wait to see them.

Dealing with SPAM

I have noticed lately an increase in the amount of SPAM on the wild Internet. I guess during these difficult times Spammers are busier sending out their mass mailers trying to increase or maintain their revenues.
For Spammers is all about ROI or return on investment, if they were to use conventional methods of sending "junk" mail they would have to pay up a higher cost per piece of junk mail sent. Let's review what are some of the costs associated with sending junk mail via the traditional Postal Service:

1. There is the cost of designing and printing the mailers.

So, you got a chance to interview for a job. Here are some interview tips.

Not only is an employer’s buyers market, but the competition for jobs is getting tougher out there. These are not times to go unprepared to a job interview and if you are lucky enough for your resume or application to have made it through the HR filter and the resume review meetings, you’d better be on your best preparation shape.
